1. About this policy
This policy explains how ProdLabels collects and uses personal information through this website. ProdLabels is the controller for the information described here. Full legal entity and postal details must be added before public launch.
Questions or requests can be sent to hello@prodlabels.com.
2. Information we collect
The early-access form may collect:
- Your email address and, if supplied, your first name.
- Your selected label workflow and interest in paid setup.
- Your consent choice and the time it was recorded.
- Limited attribution data, such as campaign parameters and the page that referred you.
The founding setup enquiry may also collect:
- Your name, work email, country and website address.
- Your company name and Zebra printer models, if supplied.
- Label types, approximate volume, desired timing and your description of the current workflow.
- Your enquiry and optional product-update consent choices.
Basic analytics may record page views, broad device or browser information, referrer information and interactions with selected calls to action. Analytics events are designed not to include names, email addresses, company details, website addresses, printer identifiers or free-text responses.
We do not intentionally collect raw IP addresses or Turnstile tokens in the ProdLabels lead database.
3. Why we use the information
Early-access and research updates
Where you actively consent, we use your details to send ProdLabels early-access updates and occasional product-research questions. The lawful basis is consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
Founding setup enquiries
We use enquiry details to assess compatibility, answer your request, discuss scope and, if appropriate, take steps towards a service agreement. Depending on the circumstances, this is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract and is also in our legitimate interest in responding to genuine business enquiries.
Website operation and improvement
We use limited analytics, attribution and security information to understand demand, improve the website and protect forms from abuse. This is based on our legitimate interests in running and improving a secure pre-launch service, balanced against visitor privacy.
4. Services that process information
We use specialist providers to operate the website:
- Vercel hosts the website and provides basic web analytics.
- Neon provides the PostgreSQL database used to store form submissions.
- Resend sends confirmation messages and internal enquiry notifications when email sending is enabled.
- Cloudflare Turnstile helps distinguish people from automated abuse when forms are submitted.
These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. Some processing may take place outside the UK. Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers.
5. Who receives your information
Access is limited to people and providers who need it to operate ProdLabels, respond to your request or maintain the service. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or in connection with a properly managed business transfer.
6. How long we keep it
Early-access records are kept while you remain subscribed and may be removed after 24 months without meaningful activity. Service enquiries are normally kept for up to 24 months after the last contact. If an enquiry becomes paid work, relevant contractual and accounting records may be kept for up to seven years where needed for legal, tax or record-keeping purposes.
Suppression information may be retained so an unsubscribe request can continue to be honoured. Provider security and operational records follow the providers’ documented retention periods.
7. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Use the unsubscribe link in a product-update email to stop marketing updates at any time.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Ask for access to or correction of your personal information.
- Ask for deletion or restriction where the law gives you that right.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Ask for a portable copy of certain information.
To make a request, email hello@prodlabels.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
8. Security
We use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls, encrypted connections and form-abuse protection. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we review the controls as the product develops.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated as ProdLabels moves from validation into early access and as provider or processing arrangements change. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised date.
